Acceptable Use Policy — Equine Intelligence
Effective date: 7 October 2026 · Last updated: 7 October 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out what you may and may not do when using Equine Intelligence. It applies to everyone who accesses the platform, on any plan (including the free Base tier), and forms part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. Equine Intelligence is operated by Equine Science ("we", "us", "our"). If you breach this AUP we may suspend or terminate your access, as described in section 6.
1. Permitted use
You may use Equine Intelligence for your own lawful purposes — reviewing rankings, ratings, analytics and reports available on your subscription tier — within the features and limits provided to you. Professional users (riders, owners, trainers, breeders and event organisers) may use our analytics to inform their own activities.
2. What you must not do
Data and access
- No scraping or automated extraction. You must not crawl, scrape, spider, harvest, or use bots, scripts or other automated means to extract data from the platform, except through any API or export feature we expressly provide to you.
- No bulk copying. You must not systematically download, copy, store or reproduce our rankings, ratings, analytics or reports beyond the normal use of the features on your plan.
- No circumvention. You must not bypass, disable or interfere with paywalls, tier restrictions, rate limits, authentication or any security or access-control measure.
Redistribution and competition
- No resale or redistribution. You must not sell, sublicense, publish, broadcast or otherwise make our data, rankings, ratings, reports or analytics available to any third party.
- No competing products. You must not use the platform, or any data obtained from it, to build, train, benchmark or operate a product or service that competes with Equine Intelligence, or to train any machine-learning or AI model.
- No misrepresentation of our data. You must not present our rankings, ratings or predictions as official results or as endorsed by Equestrian Sports New Zealand, any governing body, or any event organiser. Equine Intelligence is independent (see our Terms of Use).
People and privacy
- Respect competitors' privacy. You must not use information about riders, owners or other individuals obtained from the platform to contact, market to, solicit, harass, profile or target them. This mirrors our commitment in the Privacy Policy not to allow performance data to be used to market to competitors.
- No re-identification or data compilation of individuals beyond what the platform displays.
Accounts
- One account, no sharing. Your login is for your use only. You must not share credentials, allow others to use your account, or exceed any seat or user limit on your plan.
- Accurate information. You must keep your account details accurate and must not impersonate any person or organisation.
Platform integrity and lawful use
- No interference. You must not introduce malware, overload or disrupt the platform, probe or test its vulnerabilities, or interfere with any other user's access.
- No unlawful or harmful use. You must not use the platform for any unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, harassing or otherwise harmful purpose.
- No betting operations. You must not use our predictions, ratings or "fair odds" to operate, promote or facilitate any betting, bookmaking or gambling service (see our Predictions & Responsible Use Policy).
3. Your content
If the platform lets you submit content (such as report requests, notes, tags or messages), you are responsible for that content and must ensure it is lawful, accurate and not infringing or offensive. We may remove content that breaches this AUP.
4. Intellectual property
Our rankings, ratings, analytics, reports and the methodology behind them are our proprietary property. While underlying competition results may be publicly available, our compilation, calculation and presentation of them are protected. Nothing in your use of the platform transfers any ownership to you. (See our Terms of Use for full details.)
5. Reporting misuse
If you become aware of any breach of this AUP, a security issue, or misuse of our data, please report it to office@equinescience.co.nz.
6. Consequences of breach
If you breach this AUP, we may (without limiting any other rights under our Terms of Use) issue a warning, restrict features, suspend or permanently terminate your account, remove offending content, and take legal action. Where we terminate an account for breach, you may not be entitled to a refund of any fees paid.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this AUP from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be notified through the platform, and your continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
